IAAF has a major problem
The problem is the hyperandrogene athlete Christine Mboma from Namibia. Just 18 years old set the junior record on the 200. Mboma was due to her adrogene level not allowed on her favorite distance the 400. She qualified for the 200 as well. There seems to be no unfair advantage for hyperandrogene women on the sprints. She took the silver in Tokio.
The IAAF seemed to have it all under controle. Research showed unfair advantage on the 400 to the 1500. Caster Semenya refused to take testosterone suppressing drugs and got no permission to start on the 400. Problem solved
But now there’s Mboma. I don’t think the IAAF will succeed in expelling her after years of discussion and (bad) research. They just have to live with a athlete and her great future.
Other runners will be protesting against Mboma in the future of course. That’s their problem.
